The only thing I accomplished with the six ear candles besides extracting a little ear wax, was set my hair ablaze. I now have some interesting layers.
yeah I've tried those many times and they don't really work except to fill your house with old ear wax smell. I got ear wax removed at my Dr office one time and it worked like a charm. They just used this big syringe and squirted water in my ear forever and a day and finally it came out. Perhaps you could devise something similar?
I read somewhere that someone actually did burn their house down doing this. I find it hard to believe you'd let it burn to a point where your house caught on fire. I mean once I smelled my hair burning I put it out. Duh. @Crystal - I prefer irrigating, I just didn't have anyone to do it and don't know where to buy a syringe. I wonder if the nurse at work would do it. Or maybe I should just go to the doctor.
Shelby!!!!I thought you said they don't actually have flames at the end!!! So sorry it didn't work like you remember it working before. And really, I assumed you would have someone to help or I would have had you stop here to do it. Jeeeze.
No worries. I remembered it incorrectly apparently. I survived. I got a lot of wax out but not all of it and am still plugged up. I'm going to go to the pharmacy and see if they will sell me a syringe.
Next time you do this alone... cut a pie tin in the center( a small X cut) & place the ear candle about 1/4 down in the center. It really helps me. It's sad that some things are are 2 person job but, we have to turn it into a one women show.

ReplyDeleteTaking pictures while you were doing it probably didn't help.
ReplyDeleteSuppose the house started on fire and burned to the ground. At least you didn't need to explain that on your Facebook status.
