thanks sherry

At the Credit Union:

Teller: Ok Sherry you're all set.  Thanks for stopping in.
Me: Thanks you too.


Please tell me I am not the only one that has done this on repeated occasions, without even realizing what was being said.  I drove off slightly confused and wondering if the teller realized what just happened.

    Certainly not the only one. I do it all the time -- especially at restaurants when a waiter says, "Enjoy your meal." I often say, "Thanks you too."

    He just said Sherry. I didn't even realize it until I pulled out of the parking lot. I'm sure I looked confused. Then I laughed.
